How to buy
Test Drives and Inspections.
We welcome inspections and test drives, by appointment. Drivers must be able to drive manual shift transmissions, and have valid driving licence. All test drives will be accompanied. Test drives, inspections and collections will be at one of our workshops dependent on vehicle.
Driving After Purchase.
Round Peg International is now signed up to issue New Jersey and out of state Temp Tags. Provide us with insurance details and we can print off your tags in seconds. Given the current Covid-19 status many people are worried about registering and driving their new purchases. That problem is now solved.
The Right Hand Drive Myth
Most concerns about driving a right hand drive (RHD) vehicle occur in RHD countries. The problem is getting used to driving on a different side of the road, and handling scary things like roundabouts. The vehicle controls themselves are the same as left hand drive (LHD), with the only exception being the gear shifter would now be to your left. The best advice is that if you try to change gear and the window winds down, use your other hand. .
On the other hand, Minis, MGFs and other smaller cars are better suited to left hand drive for visibility. So that’s what we buy from mainland Europe.
How to pay
We accept cash in person, bank drafts and certified checks. Sales to New Jersey residents are subject to 6.625% sales tax. Vehicle and title will be released once all funds have cleared. We do not accept money orders, credit cards. checks from Nigerian princes (I actually have a fake cashiers check for over thirty grand in a frame on my office wall) or Paypal for final balance.
Shipping
We are happy to work with the tow vendor, driver or new owner. Round Peg International has a trusted tow vendor and we can arrange delivery pricing. Collection of the vehicle will be at our relevant workshop.
What you are buying
Due to the nature of the vehicles we sell they are all over 25 years old.
After inspection in country of origin work may be carried out, at our request, by experienced engineers prior to shipment. Other work would be done at our US workshops and through our trusted specialists.
Pictures of our vehicles will only be posted once we are happy the vehicle is ready for sale.
These are not concourse cars. Nor do they have concourse prices. Every effort is made to get them into the best condition we can, however we make no guarantee, offer no warranty, trial period or refunds after purchase. Buy it and take it to the next level, sell it on or drive with a huge smile on your face. It`s your call.
Just So You Know..
Round Peg International is not connected with Land Rover Jaguar of North America, or BMW USA. The fact that we are based in the general area of their US HQs, and some of the images of our vehicles happen to be taken on a private road that runs in front of their buildings, is purely a coincidence.
