After I retired from Mercedes Benz USA head office in New Jersey, I wanted to keep busy, get my hands dirty and keep the smile on my face.

Before moving to America I was a Royal Air Force aircraft engineer. Serving all over the world on jet trainers, ground attack/photo reconnaissance SEPECAT Jaguars, submarine hunting Nimrods, together with Wessex and Puma helicopters. During this time Land Rovers and Minis were my “company cars”.

I have owned, rebuilt and restored dozens of classic cars and motorcycles, from the rare Langridge Navajo (look it up) to cardboard boxes alleging to be a Yamaha TR1.

Through Round Peg International I am looking to provide classic vehicles sourced in United Kingdom, Europe and here in the US. Each imported vehicle will pass through an inspection at source, and then will enter the US with full Customs and EPA clearances. Every classic will have a clear New Jersey title, which usually takes about two months for Trenton MVC to process.

Every day I see 1980 Land Rovers with 200TDi engines, which were not fitted to Defenders until 1990.

A legally imported vehicle must have original production date matching parts fitted.

Mine will.
